What is the difference between a parked domain and an addon domain?

FAQ Bild

At helloly.com, all web hosting packages are alias (parked) and multidomain (addon) capable.

Aliasor parked domains are additional domains on the web space and the mail server. These domains therefore share a common web root ("/").

Multidomains, also known asadd-on domains, are independent domains and can point to their own subdirectory under ("/") in the web space.

E-mail addresses - whether parked or add-on - can always be managed completely separately from the main domain. This means that office@domain1.tld and office@domain2.tld are separate mailboxes. Of course, a forwarding can be set up, e.g. from office@domain1.tld to office@domain2.tld.

Thanks to this flexibility, several independent projects can be realized with all web hosting products at helloly.com.
