What can I do if the FTP client reports an incorrect server certificate?

 

If you connect to your server via an FTP client and receive a warning about an incorrect server certificate, you have two options:

  1. Connect via your hosting server cloudXX.helloly.hosting instead of via your domain (ftp.yourdomain.tld).
    1. To find out which hosting server is assigned to you, log in to the Client Area via my.helloly.com and click on Log in to cPanel within the Dashboard under Your Active Products/Services.
    2. Now click on the Server Information link in the General Information column on the right.
    3. Here you can see the Server Name. If it is cloud10, for example, then your hosting server is cloud10.helloly.hosting.
  2. Alternatively, you can also check the option “Always trust certificate in future sessions”.
