When are new DNS entries active?

FAQ Bild

When new DNS entries are added or existing entries are changed, it sometimes takes a while for the entries to become active worldwide. Normally, a DNS change should be active worldwide within 15 minutes to 24 hours.

If the change also involves changing the name servers stored for a domain at the registry, this depends on the technical implementation for the respective domain extension and can take several hours.
