FAQ Bild

This article is about how to prepare content optimally for search engines. How to use meta information to optimize your website for search engines is explained in this article.

  1. Use Headings and Subheadings on your pages
    • Organize your content clearly
    • Use the templates for headings and subheadings
    • Remember: Each page should only have one Heading 1 (H1) heading
    • The Heading 2 (H2) and Heading 3 (H3) templates are intended as subheadings for new sections
    • Key phrases (keywords) should be included in the heading
  2. Assign an Alternative Text to Images
    • Before you upload an image, you should give it a descriptive name (e.g. "product_xy_frontview.jpg")
    • Avoid spaces in file names
    • Add a descriptive text to your image in the Right Toolbar under Picture in the Alternative Text field. Ask yourself the question: How would I describe this picture to a visually impaired person?

    • Also link to your own content where it makes sense and life easier for the visitor
