Email clients: What are the special features of MacOS?

We have tested different email clients on different operating systems to give you the best experience. We noticed the following special features with MacOS:

MacOS Mail.app

✅ The auto-configuration does not work. Please enter your access data manually.

✅ No problems with SSL certificates

✅ IMAP special folders (Sent, Trash, Drafts, Junk) are recognized automatically

MacOS Thunderbird

⚠️ The auto-configuration for the incoming/outgoing server works. However, the user name must be supplemented to the full e-mail address. Max -> Max@Mustermann.at

✅ No problems with SSL certificates.

✅ IMAP special folders (Sent, Trash, Drafts, Junk) are recognized automatically

MacOS Outlook
