How do I add an .htaccess file to my website?

NOTE: The .htaccess file is a server configuration file. You should only edit this file if you know what you are doing. Errors in the .htaccess file can cause the website to stop working.

 

To activate the .htaccess file, proceed as follows:

  • Go for Settings and select Settings
  • Switch to the tab Files
  • Check the Enable .htaccess checkbox
  • Insert your script and confirm with Apply
